Weekly Update February 14, 2025

February 14, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

Today was a truly special day as we celebrated our February birthdays and Valentine’s Day with a delicious lunch featuring Filet Mignon and Lobster Tails, lovingly prepared by Chef Brooke and our incredible dining team. The afternoon was made even more delightful with a beautiful piano concert that filled our hearts with music and joy!

Our community calendar is filled with wonderful opportunities to exercise, learn, paint, sing, read, socialize play games and more—so be sure to check your monthly calendar, Weekly Informer, or In-House Channel 1390 to plan your day.

This week, we took time to honor our amazing employees with a special Employee Appreciation Lunch! We are thrilled to recognize our Employees of the 4th Quarter 2024 for their dedication and kindness:

Bertila Jandres in our Skilled Nursing Campus; Erica Manosian in Dining; Jennifer Realegeno in Administration; Yanira Flores in Housekeeping and Cecelia Guizar in our Residential Care Campus (Halvorson Memory Care and Residential/Assisted Living).  Each of these 5 individuals have gone above and beyond, helping make Solheim a loving home for so many.

A huge congratulations to our Employee of the Year, Denise Medina! Denise, who started as an Activity Assistant in Skilled Nursing and now serves as our Admissions Coordinator, is often the first warm welcome new residents receive in our Health Center. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication make a lasting impact on everyone she meets. If you see these wonderful team members, please take a moment to thank and congratulate them!

Tree trimming is scheduled around our campus, and on Monday, February 17th, the front parking lot outside the Health Center will be closed until 11 AM. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we maintain our beautiful surroundings.

Meanwhile, work continues on the Merton & Manor Refresh Project. Fresh paint, new handrails, and updated carpeting are bringing new life to our community spaces. We appreciate your patience as we move closer to completion.

All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
