Weekly Update February 7, 2025

February 7, 2025
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, love is in the air at Solheim! While this holiday is often associated with romance, it’s also a time to celebrate the deep friendships, kindness, and sense of community that make our home so special. Whether through a shared meal, a heartfelt conversation, or simply a warm smile, the love we show one another creates the Solheim Feeling we cherish every day.

This coming week is filled with wonderful opportunities to come together. We’ll kick things off on Sunday with a Super Bowl Watch Party, where football fans and socializers alike can enjoy the excitement of the big game, good company, and delicious snacks. Tuesday brings our Resident Council Meeting, a great time for residents to share their thoughts and ideas, followed by Thursday’s Town Hall Meeting, where important community updates will be discussed. Creative spirits can look forward to a Painting Class, and for those seeking relaxation, our Spa Day will offer a perfect moment of self-care. We also have a special Piano Concert to delight music lovers.

To cap off the week, we invite everyone to join us on Friday, February 14, at 3:00 PM for a special Love Songs event, a heartwarming musical experience celebrating love through beautiful melodies.

Meanwhile, work continues on the Merton & Manor Refresh Project. Fresh paint, new handrails, and updated carpeting are bringing new life to our community spaces. Many areas are already looking beautiful, and we appreciate your patience as we move closer to completion.

As we enter this week of celebration and connection, let’s take a moment to appreciate the friendships we’ve built and the love that surrounds us. Thank you for making Solheim a place filled with warmth, kindness, and joy.

All staff in our Skilled Nursing Campus must wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask or higher-level respirator. Visitors to our Health Center (Skilled Nursing) are required to wear a mask and will be offered a COVID-19 antigen test before entry.
